2018 Range Rover Velar – Check Out Pictures, Price and Features


The Range Rover family by Land Rover, has unveiled a new member known as the 2018 Range Rover Velar.

The Range Rover Velar sits between the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport. I mean, the new auto is just about 5 CM shorter than the Range Rover sport.

According to Land Rover’s design director, Gerry McGovern, the Range Rover Velar is the most car-like Range Rover we’ve done so far, but just as capable. It’s the new type of Range Rover for a new type of customer.

The new Range Rover Velar certainly doesn’t go wrong in the area of styling. Everything seem to be in place in regards making the car as Slim as possible. The car ushers in a new, more high-tech land Rover interior design that is expected to be rolled out across the rest of the Range as the next generation of models is introduced.

The Velar is all-wheel drive only and comes with Land Rover’s full suite of off-road technology. Wade depth is 650mm.

The velar’s interior is a new touch pro Duo infotainment system. It features 2 screens. One is about 10inch display and is described as ‘Secret till lit’.


On this screens, configurations can be made. From the sound system to the lighting to the air conditioning to the switchgear. The screen can also present a map reading amongst others. There is also a Wi-Fi hot-spot for up to eight devices.

The boot capacity of the car is about 673 litres and the rear seats split 40/20/40. There is also a sliding glass roof which could be considered a plus.

  • 247-hp 2.0-litre inline-four
  • 380-hp supercharged 3.0 litre V-6
  • 180-hp 2.0-litre Turbo diesel four are offered
  • Eight speed automatic

Other Tech highlights include laser spotlights, touch-pads on the steering wheels to control certain key interior and driving functions, an active rear locking e-differential and gesture control to open the tailgate.

Range Rover Velar Price

The Range Rover Velar will be priced from £44,830. In dollars, that should be around $50,000. And  15,712,500 Nigerian Naira
